Das Umweltzertifikat - Green Future Certificate (GFC) ist entstanden um Schüler/innen für die Thematik "Umwelt und Nachhaltigkeit" zu sensibilisieren und deren Umweltkompetenz zu stärken.
Die Ausbildung „GFC-Abfall/Energie“ stellt einen dafür geeigneten Baustein dar, um Umweltkompetenzen im Rahmen der Schulausbildung zu etablieren. Mit diesem Modul wurde eine Zusatzqualifikation bzw. ein Zertifikat entwickelt, das die Grundlagen des umweltgerechten Handelns in Unternehmen und im privaten Bereich schafft. Es bildet die Basis und ist die ideale Ergänzung zum Unterrichtsgegenstand "Biologie".
Als weiterer Baustein kann darauf das Zertifikat „GFC-Umweltmanagement“ gesetzt werden.
Als besonderen Abschluss ist es möglich, mit dem dritten Modul „GFC-Klima und Nachhaltigkeit“ die Voraussetzung zu erlangen, dass diese Ausbildung vom TÜV-Austria angerechnet wird. Damit ist es auf kurzem Weg und zu günstigen Konditionen möglich, dass beim TÜV die weiteren Ausbildungen zur Vollqualifizierung als „Umweltmanager/in“ des TÜV abgelegt werden können.
Diese Ausbildung ist in Betrieben ab einer höheren Mitarbeiterzahl (100) erforderlich, stellt also eindeutig einen großen Zusatznutzen dar.
